Learning the value of Education (AVE) is a large scale policy pilot implemented in the Dominican Republic from 2014 to 2016. The initiative consisted of delivering students information about the economic and social returns of education to reduce school drop-out rates. This policy brief describes the results of the experimental evaluation and documents the implementation process. In this way, it sheds light on how researchers and policy makers can collaborate to innovate, evaluate, and learn within the implementation of public policy.
