Policy brief: Learning the value of Education in the Dominican Republic

Learning the value of Education (AVE) is a large scale policy pilot implemented in the Dominican Republic from 2014 to 2016. The initiative consisted of delivering students information about the economic and social returns of education to reduce school drop-out rates. After being evaluated, the program has been scaled up in all the country.

Inequalities in the Appropriation of Digital Spaces in Metropolitan Areas of Latin America

This study discusses the role of information and communication technologies (ICTs), especially the Internet, in three Latin American capitals in people’s ability to attain the lifestyle they value and how inequalities in this ability can be explained by sociodemographic characteristics that do not depend on the individual’s decisions.
